Sergio Aguero confirms his rib ‘hurts badly’ after car crash in Amsterdam
The Argentina international was a passenger in a taxi en route to Amsterdam airport after attending a concert by Colombian singer Maluma on Thursday evening.
The striker, who has suffered a fractured rib from the incident, was taken to a hospital in Netherlands but is due to return to Manchester on Friday afternoon. ‘The taxi driver did not see the curve and skid,’ Aguero told Radio Metro de Argentina.
And when he skidded, we hit him with the pole.
‘I broke my rib, now I’m resting.
It hurts me badly.
‘I’ll be discharged in a little while.’
On Friday, Pep Guardiola confirmed Aguero will miss City’s fixture against Chelsea and is unsure when the striker will be available to play. ‘No, he cannot play tomorrow [against Chelsea], for the international break he cannot play there for Argentina,’ he said. ‘Our first impression we have is he’s broken a rib, but how many days off I don’t know.’
