And Taylor Swift, Kanye West, and Kim Kardashian are in the thick of it – and they didn’t even attend.
The 27-year-old dropped the music video for her new song Look What You Made Me Do at the ceremony.
The song is believed to be an epic diss track about Kanye West and Katy Perry, who she has had public spats with.
The Love Story singer can be heard singing about getting her own back on everyone who has done her wrong while sat in a bath surrounded by jewels.
“I don’t like your perfect crime/ How you laugh when you lie/ You said the gun was mine / Isn’t cool, no, I don’t like you,” she sings while making a gun gesture with her fingers.
Fans soon called Taylor out for the lyrics on Twitter, claiming it refers to Kim’s traumatic robbery last year which saw her gagged and locked in the bathroom while the crooks made off with her jewelry.
“It’s really f***ed up Taylor made fun of Kim’s robbery. She could’ve died – that’s not something to mock,” one user tweeted.
Another said: “Gun…jewellery…bathtub? This is so wrong – Taylor is recreating Kim’s Paris robbery.”
And one wrote: “Listen, all I have to say is Taylor being in a bathtub with jewelry better not be about Kim’s robbery because that’s f***ing sick.”
Taylor and The West’s have a lot of history.
Yeezy famously interrupted Taylor’s acceptance speech at the MTV Video Music Awards in 2009.
However, TayTay and Kanye eventually made up, with the hitmaker even introducing him at the 2015 ceremony.
But when Kanye dropped his controversial track Famous, all hell broke loose.
The rapper referenced having sex with Taylor and said that he “made that bitch famous”, while the video also featured a butt naked waxwork of Taylor in bed with a host of stars.
Kim then plonked herself in the thick of the drama by sharing “receipts” of Taylor approving the first half of the lyrics.
Luckily, the couple doesn’t seem like they want to get involved in the drama this time round.
“Kim and Kanye don’t care about Taylor’s new music,” a source told People.
“They find it pathetic that she still tries to keep an old feud going. They are not going to give her or her new music any attention.
“They have more important things to focus on, like their family.”
