Tottenham have agreed a deal to sign right-back Serge Aurier from Paris Saint-Germain, with issues regarding his work permit yet to be finalised.
Tottenham have reached an agreement to sign the 24-year-old defender, who has completed a medical for the London side ahead of a transfer worth £23 million.
The move, however, is being held up by issues with his work permit and his right to enter the United Kingdom. Last year, the right-back was given a suspended two-month jail sentence for assaulting a police officer.
He was not allowed to enter the country for PSG’s Champions League clash with Arsenal, but having appealed against the sentence, the Ivory Coast international is still awaiting the result.
Following Kyle Walker’s departure to Manchester City, boss Pochettino was keen to add another right-back after playing Kyle Walker-Peters and Kieran Trippier in the first two Premier League games of the season. If everything goes well, Pochettino will have his man.
