Rio Ferdinand believes Harry Kane is playing on a level comparable with Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.
Kane bagged a remarkable sixth hat-trick of 2017 with a treble against Apoel Nicosia in the Champions League, helping Spurs maintain their 100 per cent record in the competition this season.
And Ferdinand believes Kane, who has 11 goals in all competitions already, must be compared to the very best in the game.
Ferdinand told BT Sport: “Those kind of stats are up there with Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.
“He’s quickly letting people know that he is here to stay. A couple of seasons ago everyone was asking if he could repeat his first two seasons by getting 20-plus goals.
“He’s scoring all types of goals. He’d be a nightmare to play against at centre half.”
