Since joining PSG for an incredible €222m in the summer, Neymar has enjoyed superstar status in the French capital, something that has already begun to annoy elements of the Parisian side’s dressing room.
It is fair to say that Neymar is going through a tricky period at the moment, first there was penaltygate and most recently his late red card in ‘Le Classique’ against Marseille at the weekend has once again made him the subject of damning articles in the press.
To make matter worse, French publication ‘Le Parisien’ has now called the public’s attention to a number of the special privileges that the Samba star receives that have already begun to cause problems in the PSG dressing room.
It claims that Neymar, unlike all his team-mates, has no defensive responsabilities during games, whilst the players are also strictly warned against going in too hard on the 25-year-old in training.
The staff aren’t best pleased either, with Neymar having brought two of his own personal physios with him to the French capital in the shape of Rafael Martini and Ricardo Sosa.
A series of incidents have chipped away at morale in the camp according the ‘Le Parisien’, though the incidents in question are not listed. It remains to be seen if these problems will fester or whether they can be solved for the good of the team.
