Juventus striker Mario Mandzukic has won the UEFA ‘Goal Of The Season’ award for his stunning strike in the Champions League final, beating the likes of Casemiro and Marco Asensio to the gong.
And the winner is… Mario Mandzukic! The Croatian striker beat seven other candidates to the award with his incredible overhead kick in the Champions League Final in Cardiff.
There were some excellent goals to choose from but UEFA revealed on Tuesday that Mandzukic’s was the best of the bunch.
The 31-year-old sent a beautiful volley past a hapless Kelor Navas to briefly restore parity, before Real eventually ran out 4-1 winners.
