Liverpool signing Andy Robertson scores stunner for Scotland

He made his Reds debut against Hertha Berlin the club’s Champions League qualifying game.

And Liverpool fans reckon they have a star in the making after the 23-year-old got on the scoresheet for his national team against Lithuania.

Footage shows Scotland launch a quick counter attack from a long throw from keeper Craig Gordon.

Robertson finds himself in unusual territory on the edge of the 18-yard box.

The ball comes to the former Dundee United man, who takes a touch before unleashing a left-foot shot.

It curls over the opposition keeper and into the top corner to double Scotland’s lead.

“Will be better than #Riise for us,” commented one Liverpool fan.

Another added: “BOOM: The Klopp effect.”

Scotland took the lead through Stuart Armstrong and James McArthur added a third in a 3-0 win.
