Gareth Bale Easing Out

The Welsh winger is in no good form for Real Madrid. The stats showing the winger’s pronounced dip in performances point towards a retrograde development.
He signed for Real Madrid in 2013 and he is now facing more questions than ever. A tough situation for the forward, with the crowd at the Bernabeu tired of his poor attitude on the pitch.

Whistles and jeers were aimed at Bale in the La Liga home game against Valencia. His displays have always been put to question and his development shows a marked decline.

In 154 appearances, Gareth Bale has scored 68 goals and provided 51 assists. The figures show his decreasing level year after year. In 2013/14, he got off to a flying start registering 22 goals and 19 assists.

However, the following seasons his numbers were notably lower. 17 goals and 12 assists in 2014/15, 19 goals and 13 assists in 2015/16 and 9 goals and five assists in 2016/17.

Bale has not begun the 2017/18 campaign in form. In four fixtures he has scored one goal and given two assists. These figures underline the Welshman’s gradually diminishing form season after season.

In the player’s defence, Bale could refer to the injuries he has suffered since his arrival in Madrid. 17 times he has been physically unable to play, only allowing him to feature 53 per cent of the time.
