Floyd Mayweather and Conor McGregor took part in one of the richest fights in boxing history this past weekend.
The two biggest names in combat sports, 40 and 29 respectively, threw down with one another at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Mayweather came out of the contest victorious, weathering an early storm from McGregor to register a tenth-round TKO victory – the fiftieth triumph of his professional career.
Victory over McGregor saw Mayweather break Rocky Marciano’s legendary unbeaten record, a record which stood for 62 years.
Despite suffering the first stoppage loss of his combat sports career, McGregor, the reigning UFC lightweight champion, left the T-Mobile Arena a much wealthier man than before he entered it.
