Located in highbrow areas of Marina, Sheikh Zayed Road, Tecom, and Sports City, the properties, owned by Momoh are linked to several illegal transactions allegedly perpetrated by a former Minister of Petroleum Resources, Diezani Alison-Madueke.

Both Momoh and Diezani are currently been investigated by the House of Representatives over their alleged involvement in the award of dubious contracts to the tune of $24bn to some oil firms under the controversial crude oil swap arrangement.

The EFCC would apply for the seizure through the Office of the Attorney General of the Federation and the Mutual Legal Assistance Treaty, signed between Nigeria and the UAE, is expected to make the process of forfeiture very easy, a source within the EFCC revealed.
