Barcelona are edging closer to sealing the deal for Liverpool star Philippe Coutinho, with reports in Spain suggesting he will be officially presented by the Catalan club on Friday.
As reported by Spanish daily ‘El Periodico’, the deal between both clubs has taken a significant step forward and Coutinho is very close to joining Barcelona.
The Brazilian playmaker will become Barcelona’s first signing since Neymar’s departure. Interestingly, the pair are very good friends.
The Liverpool star was already a target for the Catalan giants well before Neymar’s record £198 million move to Paris Saint-Germain.
His tecnical quality and ability to adapt are two major factors in a signing that will not come cheaply for Barcelona.
The Reds rejected an initial £72 million bid for the player with Klopp reluctant to sell his star. Writing for the mentioned source, journalist Sergi Lopez-Egea has revealed that the Camp Nou awaits, and the date is Friday.
